I’m an Art Director/Designer living in the D.C. Area! I have a passion for design, and absolutely love Pattern Design and Illustration as well. I consider myself a passionate mentor, leader, art director, and designer all in one.
Recently I found my niche for experiential events. I always wanted to make a difference through my work that sparked joy in people’s lives. Even if it was just for a day, I wanted something that would make a lasting impact that they would talk about for days or years to come. That is where experiential events come in. It’s activating an experience that is more. It’s making the event more than just a party, or expo, and taking it to the next level. It’s a visual storytelling that is beyond just visuals, but experiences as a whole! Designing a full campaigns worth of work for themed events is a passion of mine that I would like to continue!
I’m interested in the big picture (especially when there is a sharpie involved), and also keeping it authentic. Whether it’s through illustration and doodles, coming up with a creative strategy, shooting photos for various campaigns and events, or coloring “outside of the box”, I create design which is not only visually and aesthetically appealing, but overall universal and speaks to all target audiences.
I want to be able to tell a story from scratch, and make sure every detail counts.
With experience in designing for fields, such as financial institutions, start-ups, consulting firms, education, non-profits, entertainment and digital agencies, and more, I am able to produce work through a variety of different channels, as well as being able to spread the brand awareness that comes along with it. I also enjoy being a design mentor, and want to be able to share what I am learning throughout this journey.
My experience in design includes: Art direction, experiential events, campaign strategy, internal and external communications, mentorship, visual/graphic design, web design, surface pattern design, and more! I seek to effectively convey visual communication for clients in a diverse and cohesive manner, which helps to branch out the vision of effective design and communication.
Fun facts: Eclectic taste in music, tea lover, and a passion for pattern design, typography and calligraphy, especially of a different language and script.
